Dr. Ben-Shalom is a researcher at Mathematica Policy Research, where he works on projects related to disability policy, health insurance, and nutrition policy. He specializes in econometric modeling and applied microeconomics. He is experienced in designing and conducting advanced statistical analyses using large datasets, such as the Current Population Survey (CPS) and the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP). Dr. Ben-Shalom’s research has focused on use of work incentives for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries.
