Alejandra Cox Edwards

Alejandra Cox Edwards is Professor Emerita of Economics at California State University – Long Beach. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1984. She was a Senior Economist at The World Bank from 1993 to 1996 working on labor-market related research and project preparation. She was part of the team that prepared the World Development Report 95 and was the main author of Labor and Economic Reforms in Latin America, also published by The World Bank in 1995. The second edition of her book (co-author) Monetarism and Liberalization: The Chilean Experiment, was published by The University of Chicago Press in 1991, and published in Spanish by Fondo de Cultura (Mexico) in 1993.
