Dr. Arline Geronimus is a Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education and a Research Professor in the Population Studies Center. She earned her B.A. in Politics at Princeton University and Sc.D in Behavioral Sciences from Harvard University School of Public Health. Dr. Geronimus’ research interests include urban/rural health disparities in high poverty populations, public policy effects on marginalized groups’ health outcomes, and how local economic conditions and social security policy impact life expectancy.
