UM15-Q2: Racial Differences in the Use of VA Health Services
Researchers
Abstract
The Health and Retirement Study (HRS) has recently added extensive new content addressing the use of Veteran’s Administration (VA) health services. This new content will allow us to examine a wide range of determinants of such use, and racial differences in the impact of these determinants, including economic and attitudinal factors. This project’s research questions will include: Is there a racial difference in the use of VA health services? What economic, health, social, or attitudinal factors influence each use? Do these factors explain the racial differences observed?
